Dal Lake Srinagar is a very famous tourist spot for the users which they visit too in this blog we are going to tell you about the Dal Lake in Srinagar which is also named as the jewel in the crown of Kashmir or you can also say it as Srinagar’s jewel. Dal lake is famous for its amazing beauty and sight. Dal in Kashmiri actually means Lake and is situated in Kashmir which was the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. The lake is very much popular and famous for its important source for commercial operations like fishing in water and plant harvesting as well.
The lake covers an area of 18 km square and is a very major part of the wetland of Kashmir not only this but it also includes floating gardens in it which makes it popular and famous as well. The floating gardens in Kashmir are usually known as raad in Kashmiri and are very much popular as well as it blossoms with lotus flowers during the month of July and August.
Usually, the wetland is divided into causeways into four basins which are named Gagri ball, Lokut Dal, Bod Dal, and Nagin. Since such famous lakes are there in Srinagar which is why the city is also one of the city of lakes.
